Heir Search/Next of Kin Services:

  • Deceased Borrower Search
    • Slate will search applicable federal, state, municipal records to determine whether a subject borrower is deceased. Slate will provide Rock Top with reporting identifying whether a borrower is confirmed deceased (Yes/No) and provide the date of passing if available (date).
  • Probate Search
    • Slate will search customary public records including court filings for subject borrower’s death certificate, probate, and/or will.
    • If located Slate will provide the identified heir name(s) along with
      available, contact information.
  • Unknown Heir Search
    • If probate search does not produce positive findings, Slate will search alternative sources including skip tracing, obituaries, social media, LexusNexus, etc. to locate heir. For optimal results phone calls may be made to verify heir’s identity.   Slate will provide Heir Name, contact information, and brief summary of phone call will be provided in results.
