We are uniquely positioned to be able to offer residential and commercial title policies from all underwriter partners, not just one. This allows us to offer our customers BEST EXECUTION in every scenario, and significantly reduces the per transaction title spend.
Title Policy Retrieval
As a National Title agent, SLATE Mortgage Solutions has underwriting relationships with five of the Country’s largest underwriters. This uniquely positions us to be able to retrieve an origination title policy through electronic channels, significantly reducing turn-times and costs.
Title Policy Correction
If a defect in the origination policy is identified during a Collateral Diligence Review, SLATE can work with the original Title Company or Underwriter to obtain an updated, corrected title policy at significantly lower costs than having to pay for a full replacement.
Title Policy Replacement
If a mortgage loan is missing an origination title policy, and is unrecoverable using Slate’s Title Policy Retrieval services, we can provide a replacement, and prevent loan fallout our repricing due to imperfect collateral.
